  it's a convention, for some reason you are now up on stage with the mic, the auditorium falls silent awaiting your inspirational thoughts, no one knows you no longer believe, amidst the crowd are many close friends and direct family.

  you will never, ever get another chance like this, this is a life changing opportunity.

  you will have maybe 10 seconds before they cut the mike.

  i was supposed to go to a judical meeting on sat but i told the elders i wasnt going but they held it anyway.

  its going to be announced that im going to be disfellowshipped at the weekend.

  hate the fact my parents wont talk to me anymore.

  a few years back, my son who i tried hard not to get in too deep with the borg was at a football game with some witless kids and a few like himself, parents halfway in the borg.

  well he and his brother who was doing all he could to be smiled upon by the elders arrived at the playing field and were just sort of mingling and waiting for the rest of the people to show up, when one really judgmental elder's kid asked another boy why he had worn a south park shirt to the game.

  the sputh park shirt kid was pretty sarcastic and answered the question with a question.

  A few years back, my son who I tried hard not to get in too deep with the Borg was at a football game with some witless kids and a few like himself, parents halfway in the borg. Well he and his brother who was doing all he could to be smiled upon by the elders arrived at the playing field and were just sort of mingling and waiting for the rest of the people to show up, when one really judgmental elder's kid asked another boy why he had worn a South Park shirt to the game. The Sputh PArk shirt kid was pretty sarcastic and answered the question with a question. "What's the matter? Tooo Wooooorldleee for youuuuu?" My youngest son laughed so hard he almost hurt himself.

  Okay now it was HIS turn. He had worn a Stewy Griffin Tee that said, "The World is Mine." Well an elder and an ex elder approached to say hello and the ex elder asked him, "I thought the world was JEHOOOOOVAH'S..." My son looked him in the eye, raised up his middle finger and said, "No...IT'S mine...." Even the elder that was standing there laughed! When the boys got home our older boy told on him to my wife and to her dad. They got all pissy about it but I cracked up laughing. My FIL was going to really lash out at him but since I...THE FATHER had decided it was ok, he chose to bite his tongue. But he sort of shi* assed me for about a week.

  I am wondering WHY the borg places so much importance on stupid things like not wearing cartoon character tee shirts and the like. All through my youth it was like that and I wore generic clothing and anything fun was discouraged. When I decided to raise a family I swore that I was not going to deny the kids their youth.

  The world does not belong to Stewy Griffn nor to my son, but surely them claiming such a thing is no threat to an Almighty creator is it?

  Why So Many Young People Are Leaving The Watchtower

  i have been giving a lot of thought to the young people who are leaving the watchtower organization in recent years.

  last night, i was reading the thread posted by jwfacts a while back in which he provided some statistics and graphs showing the rapidly declining growth in the watchtower.

  one factor that was discussed at length was the high number of young people who do not stay in the organization.

  i got this topic from another forum .

  when i was in my judicial committee (2009); after the decision came to disfellowship me one elder asked "pitchess are you gonna be there to hear your announcement .

  now i said "no i'm moving 75 miles north of los angeles " ( they tried to get me to stay, but thats another topic ).

  Not a former elder, but I have seen my share of df's and it sounds to me like they want you to sit there like a good drone and take your punishment and allow the group to feel good about shunning you. They expect everyone they kick out to be beating the door down to come back in. In your shoes I would have just done like you did.

  i think harrison ford is a good actor but not great.

  same goes for tom cruise.. patty labelle, i've seen a few times live.

  for me, a jehovah's witness does not have a real life!

  jw's are like trained soldiers.

  they could be fervent or lax or happy or unhappy in their role but they are trained to drone on like stepford wives.. what an utter waste of an existence being a jehovah's witness!.

  More wt lies.....As a person who debates with jw's online from time to time and am actually considered to be an apostate I most certainly have something to offer. I never show them something and then abandon them to be "On Their Own" as this man says. I offer the Jesus of the Bible as a replacement for their man made org.
